Who They Are
Homeless Veterans is a charity dedicated to one clear mission: ensuring that no one who served our country ever has to sleep on the streets. These are men and women who put their lives on the line, who served in conflicts around the world, who sacrificed years of their lives for our safety and freedom. They deserve better than a doorway or a park bench.
The transition from military to civilian life is one of the hardest journeys many will ever face. The structure, purpose and camaraderie of service life disappears overnight. For some, the combination of PTSD, physical injuries, relationship breakdown and lack of employment support creates a perfect storm that leads to homelessness.
What They Do
Emergency Housing
Providing immediate safe accommodation for veterans found sleeping rough. Getting them off the streets and into a warm bed is always the first step.
Mental Health Support
Specialist counselling and therapy for PTSD, depression and anxiety. Many veterans have never spoken about what they experienced — this gives them a safe space to start.
Employment Training
CV workshops, interview coaching and vocational training to help veterans translate their military skills into civilian careers. Building a new future, one step at a time.
Peer Support Network
Connecting veterans with others who’ve been through similar experiences. The bond of shared service creates a powerful foundation for recovery and rebuilding.
Why Competition Kingz Supports Homeless Veterans
These are people who signed up to protect us without hesitation. They missed birthdays, Christmases and milestones. They saw things no one should ever have to see. And when they came home, too many of them were left to fend for themselves.
At Competition Kingz, supporting our veterans isn’t just a cause — it’s a duty. Every competition entry contributes towards giving a veteran a roof over their head, support for their mental health and a genuine pathway back to an independent, dignified life. They never left us behind — we won’t leave them behind either.
“They gave us their best years. The least we can do is make sure they have somewhere to sleep tonight.”
